Experience: Mr. Curtis maintains a AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell in his area of expertise, medical malpractice defense litigation. He is the firm's leading partner in the defense of hospitals and health care providers in medical malpractice actions. Mr. Curtis represents the University of New Mexico Hospital; San Juan Regional Medical Center; Taos Holy Cross Hospital; and Lovelace Health Services.

Mr. Curtis also defends drug manufacturers and medical product manufacturers in multi-state products liability litigation. Product liability clients include: The Bayer Corporation; Goldline Laboratories; Eon Laboratories; United States Surgical Corp; and American Medical Systems. Mr. Curtis was qualified in New Mexico State District Courts as an expert witness in accident reconstruction prior to attending law school. He currently represents Mack Trucks Inc.; Volvo Trucks Inc. and Freightliner Trucks Inc. in products liability litigation. He also represents South West Airlines and Tyco International for claims filed in the State of New Mexico.

In the past, Mr. Curtis has represented St. Joseph Hospital; St. Joseph West Mesa Hospital; Northern New Mexico Rehabilitation Center; St. Vincent's Hospital; FHP Hospitals; and the Care Unit Hospital. Mr. Curtis has served as back up counsel for Presbyterian Southwest Community Health Services. Mr. Curtis has also represented qualified healthcare providers under the New Mexico Medical Malpractice Act before the New Mexico Medical Review Commission and in litigation.
